(SEATTLE, WASHINGTON; September 20, 2019) - Registration is now open for the Adventure Travel Trade Association’s (ATTA) annual industry event, the Adventure Travel World Summit. The 2020 event will be held in Adelaide, Australia, 6-9 October. The highly anticipated announcement was made on the closing day of Adventure Travel World Summit 2019, which was held in Gothenburg, Sweden.

The ATTA’s annual Summit event draws hundreds of industry professionals from around the world for several days of educational programming, lauded keynote speakers, ample time for one-on-one networking, and exploration of the host destination. This is the first time the ATTA has ever held an event in Australia, signaling the importance of Oceania as a major player in adventure tourism and the company’s growing global reach in the industry.

The Adventure Travel World Summit routinely features sophisticated educational content addressing operational issues, industry trends, and topical concerns relevant to the adventure travel industry. Keynote speakers in previous years have included polar explorer Robert Swan, author Elizabeth Becker, and futurist Anne Nielsen.

On the first day of the Summit, delegates are invited to participate in the Day of Adventure, which will introduce them to adventure activities available in and around southern Australia. Vibrant, cosmopolitan, and multicultural, Australia’s fifth largest city serves as the ideal basecamp for local and regional adventure and exploration. Delegates will have lots of time to experience the area’s laid-back vibe, meet the local people, and enjoy Adelaide’s natural and cultural delights.

Agenda and speaker details for Adventure Travel World Summit 2020 and additional information about the event will be announced in the coming months.

Registration for Adventure Travel World Summit 2020 is now open.
