In June 2015, 300 adventure travel industry die-hards descended on Snowmass, Colorado, for AdventureELEVATE, an educational and networking conference that was so much more. Before the two-day conference started, delegates got out of the hotel and into thin air, exploring the surrounding area by bike, raft, horseback and foot, so they were ready to focus on the keynote speakers and panel discussions. The educational content focused on technology and innovation under the theme “Adventure Means Business.” And while there were familiar elements from similar events like the Adventure Travel World Summit, there were also new experiments like the DNA: Disruptive Networking Adventure.
“This is the first ELEVATE that we’ve done,” said ATTA President Shannon Stowell. “We hope to continue to raise the bar on creativity and compelling content to attract really interesting successful people.”
