Carmine Parisi appointed as SVP of Sales and Catherine Rasenberger tapped to lead Distribution Expansion

NEW YORK, NY – Outside Television, the active lifestyle network formed in partnership with Outside Magazine, today announced the appointment of media sales veteran Carmine Parisi as Senior Vice President of Sales, and cable industry veteran Catherine Rasenberger as EVP of Distribution on a consulting basis.

Parisi will manage all of the sales initiatives for Outside Television, which he identifies as a network that is “poised for rapid expansion.” Parisi says, “We have the right executive management team, brand, positioning, and assets to grow aggressively. Outside Television will satisfy the needs of advertisers looking for unique, integrated marketing solutions targeting an upscale, passionate, and active audience.”

Parisi comes to Outside Television from the National Football League where he expanded the NFL network and NFL.com by five times between 2006 and 2009 in his media sales management role. During this tenure, he created integrated marketing solutions and managed official sponsorships for clients such as Pepsi, MillerCoors, Mars, Sprint, GM, and State Farm.

In addition to the NFL, Parisi boasts fifteen years experience at major media agencies, including OMD and Initiative Media in senior media buying roles, where he managed major national blue chip clients such as Universal Pictures, Cingular, Nissan, Infiniti, Hilton Hotels, Sprint, and Hersey. Parisi was responsible for one billion dollars in media buying annually.

Catherine Rasenberger, a 25-year veteran of the cable industry, will be responsible for expanding the network’s distribution. Rasenberger will extend Outside Television’s reach by creating alliances with cable systems, satellite networks, Telco’s, and Internet companies. As founder of Rasenberger Media, she has successfully launched more than 20 networks including World Championship Sports Network (now Universal Sports), TRIO, News world International, and TV One, among others. Rasenberger Media has also advised many established media companies such as Verizon Wireless, Outdoor Channel Holdings Inc., MGM, and Universal Music on business development and growth strategies.

“Outside Television can satisfy the huge demand that exists for Active Lifestyle programming today. I am excited to be part of the Outside Television team, and extremely bullish about our prospects for national distribution growth,” said Rasenberger.

Mark Burchill, Outside Television’s CEO, states, “With the addition of two industry veterans to lead our sales and distribution we are very well positioned for the launch of Outside Television. Both Carmine and Cathy understand the opportunity and vision for the company and share our excitement about bringing it to the market.”
