Partnership to Showcase Sustainable Destination Development through Storytelling & Film; Leverages New Global Stakeholder Distribution Network

Los Angeles, CA - GLP Films (GLP), a hybrid film production and marketing company, and the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), a leader in establishing and managing standards for sustainable tourism, have formalized a strategic partnership to showcase GSTC destinations at the forefront of sustainable development through a new storytelling initiative.  GLP Films will produce compelling new film content celebrating GSTC destinations, with the aim to share these stories with the global travel community to promote sustainable destination development.

Both parties agree that storytelling and stakeholder engagement within the travel trade community are essential for sustainable destination development.  This partnership pairs GLP Films’ expertise in destination storytelling and content marketing with the GSTC’s sustainable destinations and market access agendas.  GLP Films will work with the GSTC to identify storytelling opportunities featuring GSTC-affiliated destinations.

Completed films will be marketed and promoted through GLP Films’ targeted stakeholder and distribution network.  In addition, the GSTC will have full access to completed films, to market and promote across the travel community.  GLP Films and the GSTC will regularly collaborate to share partner networks, with the long-term goal to further storytelling and distribution for future sustainable destination films.

“GLP is ready to challenge the industry standards and push storytelling to the next level by illuminating destinations that recognize the importance of sustainable tourism to the global economy.  We’re excited to work with a like-minded organization like GSTC, to make an impact on the industry and move the marketplace forward,” states GLP Films’ Founder and Chief Storyteller Rob Holmes.

“GLP Films skillfully presents their subjects in a way that inspires learning in an engaging manner. We look forward to GLP helping produce and distribute these compelling stories for destinations that are committed to enhancing their sustainability policies and practices,” says GSTC CEO Randy Durband.

Tourism destinations interested in GSTC programs and featuring them through GLP Films’ storytelling initiative are invited to contact either organization for more information.
