We are very proud and privileged to announce our inaugural General Manager for Miavana in Madagsacar; Elmine Nel.
Miavana is the newest offering under the Time + Tide collection, opening December 2016. It will comprise 14 Villas strung along the western coast of a private island in Madagascar’s North East. The lodge is being designed by acclaimed couple Lesley Carstens and Silvio Rech who have also designed Time + Tide’s other award-winning camp; Norman Carr Safaris – Chinzombo and new offering Norman Carr Safaris – Mambeti which is opening in April 2017.
Many of you will already know Elmine from managing Babylonstoren Farm Hotel and Farm House with passion, commitment and careful guidance. She has significant experience opening, operating and marketing world class establishments in Southern Africa and Naladhu, Maldives. We look forward to her insight and ideas around the opening and running of Miavana.
Elmine has a love for training and development of people as well as the experience that comes from years of hands on management. We will certainly benefit from Elmine’s skills as we are already creating many new jobs for the local Malagasy people from Diego Suarez and Nosy Ankao. In her own words “My love for and relationship with people, guests and staff alike, remains my compass.”
