Toronto – Butterfield & Robinson has been voted one of the top five World’s Best Tour Operators of 2012 in the prestigious Travel + Leisure awards. In the past 17 years, B&R has been nominated many times – with rankings in the top five twice in the last few years.

Annually, T+L asks its readers to vote on the absolute best in travel. Categories include Top 50 Hotels, Cities, Cruises and Islands. B&R’s impressive score was 94.83 out of 100.

“We want to thank all our loyal supporters who voted for B&R and acknowledged our position as one of the world’s leading travel companies,” said Norman Howe, President, B&R. “We will continue to provide the best quality of service for our travelers and are honored to have made T+L’s top five.”

The top winners in each category will be recognized at an awards ceremony on Thursday, July 19 hosted by T+L’s Editor-in-Chief Nancy Novogrod and Publisher Jean-Paul Kyrillos at the newly opened Conrad New York, named on T+L’s It List of 50 best new hotels.

“Even after 17 years, the opportunity to see what travel experiences resonate with our readers still intrigues and delights me,” said Nancy Novogrod, editor-in-chief, T+L. “While some passions change over time, the allure of the exotic and the new remains as strong as ever, as does the attraction to trips that provide distinctive and long-lasting memories.”
