Bringing the Adventure: ATTA Will Have Big Presence at WTM Latin America

ATMEX-2014---078Next week, WTM Latin America will promote Latin America to the world. The popular trade event will be held in São Paulo, Brazil, April 22 - 24, 2015, and the Adventure Travel Trade Association will be there. WTMLA attendees can find representatives from ATTA’s Latin America team at a booth and at a series of events on April 23 & 24.

At 6:00p.m. on April 23, ATTA will host a VIP cocktail at the booth of the Brazilian Tourism Ministry. The ATTA’s Gabi Assis will deliver a presentation on adventure trends and make a very important announcement about our work in Brazil. Later that evening, all WTMLA attendees are invited to an AdventureConnect event at 8:00 p.m. The Adventure Travel community will gather at nearby Caetano’s Bar, a fun locale that serves traditional Brazilian food and drinks, for networking. Sponsors from the City of Bonito will be offering drinks, appetizers, giveaways and inspiring stories about the region. Brazilian tourism groups like ABETA, BRAZTOA and EMBRATUR will also be supporting this event.

On April 24, at 4:30p.m. learn about the sudden growth of adventure travel and understand the subtle distinctions between different adventure traveler types. The ATTA’s Executive Director for Latin America, Antonio del Rosal, will present “The Rise of the Adventure Traveler” including findings from our recent Adventure Pulse report. From the “Adventure Grazer” to the “Adventure Enthusiast,” attendees will walk away knowing how shifts in message and product delivery will address current travelers’ needs. Topics will include definition and activities included in adventure travel, market size and recent industry growth, industry trends, product development and adventure traveler profiles.
