BJ and TAPBoundless Journeys, an award-winning adventure tour operator, is one of the latest companies to participate in the sustainable travel campaign from Travelers Against Plastic (TAP), an organization that ATTA supports. Boundless Journeys has pledged to promote sustainable travel and work towards eliminating plastic waste by encouraging travelers to avoid buying bottled water when they travel.

Although Boundless Journeys has always included a reusable water bottle on guests’ packing lists, the company is now going a step further by requesting their global teams provide travelers with information about drinking safe tap water when it is available and, when necessary, offer purified water in large containers for refilling reusable bottles, which will reduce the use of small plastic bottles.

Matt Holmes, Founder and President of Boundless Journeys, explained, “We want to do as much as we can to help preserve the places where we travel and where our guides and on-the-ground partners live. As guests in other countries, it’s important for us to be as responsible as we can be. We have received an overwhelmingly positive response from everyone involved.”

Holmes and the Boundless Journeys staff hope their guests follow in the company’s footsteps by taking the Traveler Pledge and by eliminating the use of plastic water bottles in their daily lives whether traveling or at home.
