SEATTLE, WA (April 17, 2014) –  The Adventure Travel Trade Association (www.adventuretravel.biz, ATTA)  is pleased to announce an update to its partnership with TourRadar, the leading online travel agency specializing in group travel. The details of the change affect all tour operator users of the ATTA’s consumer website adventure.travel, who for the first time, will be able to fully benefit from TourRadar’s online tools designed to expand reach and promote brand awareness, including their Review Widget, Facebook and Mobile Apps.

“The ATTA offers networking, education and a supportive community for tour operators. We’re focused on the big picture,” said ATTA President Mr. Shannon Stowell. “What TourRadar brings to the table are customized web and social tools so that our members can offer professional looking online offers that travelers can book with confidence. Reviews from fellow adventure travelers are key to keeping travelers coming back to operators and TourRadar’s tools help ATTA operators get those more easily.”

According to TourRadar booking data, tours featuring consumer reviews are 35 times more likely to trigger online bookings than tours without. But until now, many tour operators lacked the technological know-how to incorporate consumer reviews into their tour booking pages.

Over the past 10 years TripAdvisor and similar review platforms have revolutionized the hotel industry, but have neglected the multi-day group tour industry entirely. Now, using a simple piece of code provided by TourRadar, all ATTA operators will be able to take advantage of the group tour industry’s largest collection of unbiased consumer reviews by adding the TourRadar Review Widget directly on their websites. This finally gives operators the chance to showcase their great reviews and leverage them to drive more bookings.

Additionally, access to TourRadar’s Meet App for Facebook, iOS and Android will be extended to all ATTA operators. The app helps travellers get to know one another prior to embarking on their journeys together, and has already been used to help connect over 30,000 travellers from 132 countries. An anticipated upgrade to the Meet App will allow users to upload and share photos during and after a trip, eliminating the need for third party services.
