Rotorua, NZ - ZORB Limited, the New Zealand adventure tourism operator that provides the ZORB experience in New Zealand and overseas, has launched its latest product – the ZURF.

After a number of years of fine-tuning the design, ZORB is happy to announce the launch of its latest product, the ZURF – cousin of the ever-popular ZORB globe. The ZURF is a 3m x 3m inflatable cylinder with two open ends. Participants climb inside the 1.8m interior and roll the ZURF around. The ZURF can safely hold three adults or four-to-five children.

Designed using similar technology and manufacturing processes to that of its cousin - the ZORB globe - the ZURF is a durable, quality, NZ-made product. Its design enables a wide-range of uses. The ZURF is a versatile amusement device available to the public for use as a fun activity on flat ground, or sheltered bodies of water. It is not designed for rolling down hills. Event companies, resorts, pool complexes, and private party hosts – all of these are possible new-owners/operators.

ZORB is also pleased to announce that it has partnered with local New Zealand inflatable manufacturer, Canvasland, to ensure a quality New Zealand-made product while increasing manufacturing capacity for the ZURF. Additional components are available, and options include:

  • interior grips
  • external fins (for use on water)
  • logo / branding
  • a set up and rip down temporary pool structure with branded pool liners and pool padding surrounds
  • packing and inflation systems
Having been exclusively launched in New Zealand as part of the Coca Cola Summer Beach Tour, the ZURF is available NOW for orders. Resorts, event companies, and pool complexes who want their own ZURF and want some degree of exclusivity will be dealt with on a first come first served basis.

The ZORB Experience, generically called globe riding, was invented in New Zealand and developed by ZORB since 1995. ZORB manufactures their original ZORB 'globes' here in New Zealand. ZORB, while holding patents and trademarks is increasingly, like A.J. Hacketts Bungy, having to deal with fake and copy operators around the world. ZORB remains in the consumers mind the “original” and “authentic” experience and acknowledges that the Kiwi brand is an important part of that story.

ZORB Rotorua, the company's flagship site located on Western Rd has provided hundreds of thousands of visitors with a memorable experience that has them laughing all the way home.

Adding to this memorable experience is the recently opened company site in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, USA which is satisfying the American travellers thirst for adrenaline whilst giving them a taste of New Zealand.

ZORB now hopes the ZURF will provide a different kind of safe experience for people around the world.
