La Selva Amazon Ecolodge & Spa is thrilled and honored to announce that we have received the 2013 Certificate of Excellence from the world’s largest traveler site, TripAdvisor. Receiving the certificate is a great achievement for us. The award proves even further our dedication of outstanding hospitality and our ability to consistently receive outstanding traveler reviews. Furthermore, only about 10 percent of accommodations and establishments that are listed on TripAdvisor are given the opportunity to accept this prestigious award.
La Selva Amazon Ecolodge & Spa is located deep in the Ecuadorian Amazon, about 2 hours down the Napo River from the closest town, Coca in the Ecuadorian Province of Orrellana. A deep jungle experience is what you will find when after the boat ride you can enjoy an introductory short walk through primary forest. At the end of this trail canoes and La Selva staff will be waiting to paddle you the rest of the way to the lodge.
Arriving to the lodge is a completely different experience in itself. After crossing Lake Garzacocha, the private lake we are situated on, you will see for yourself how the image of the lodge is just simply breathtaking! Guests are received with a refreshing cocktail, along with a brief introduction and led to their accommodations afterwards. Meals are always made fresh and plates are served to satisfy even the largest of appetites!
Time spent at La Selva is simply relaxing and tranquil. Guests can indulge in Yoga Retreats overlooking Lake Garzacocha in our open air lounge or spend some time in the newly created and exotic Butterfly Spa with a tailor-made massage to their likings. The possibilities are endless! The guides love to share their bountiful information with guests and live for showing off the beauty and life of the surrounding jungle during excursions either on foot or by canoe.
We are so pleased to have accepted this award because it shows just how hard we have been working to improve the quality of our lodge for our present and future guests. Over the past year we have been through two phases of intense renovations and can now proudly say our hard work and dedication to this beautiful, serene place has paid off!
