The Adventure Travel Trade Association is excited to announce our first photo contest, for which we will be giving away two full-priced Summit passes for the 2013 ATWS in Namibia. Summit delegates will have the chance to win the passes based on photos from the 2012 Pre-Summit Adventures, Day of Adventures, and all conference activities, including evening events.

Images will be judged based on one of two themes:

Adventure - The ATTA defines adventure tourism as travel that has elements of cultural interaction, physical activity, and outdoor experiences. But we as an industry know that adventure means more than that - it is about challenge, discovery, new possibilities and the power to transform the adventurer.

One theme for the contest is "Adventure."

Tribe -  Because of the passion and mindset that comes naturally to those who have chosen adventure travel for their careers, we consider our community a Tribe. This idea of a global group based on kinship and a love for adventure travel - and all that it entails - is central to ATTA events and membership. It is based on the principles of sharing, learning, partnering and growing while protecting and preserving the people and places we visit.

The second theme for the contest is "Tribe."
