Vail Resorts Celebrates National Safety Awareness Week with Safety Themed Activities and Events

VAIL, Colo. – National Safety Awareness Week returns to Vail Resorts, Jan. 15-23, encouraging skiers and riders, guests and employees, to help educate and raise awareness among Vail Resorts’ guests on how to be safer when skiing and snowboarding. Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, Heavenly and Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort’s safety week schedule includes a particular theme around safety and offers clinics and events around how to be safer on the slopes.

“The safety of our guests and our employees is paramount at Vail Resorts,” said Blaise Carrig co-president of Vail Resorts mountain division. “The activities and events we have planned for National Safety Awareness Week are designed to highlight our safety best practices at each resort, as well as to educate our guests on what they can do to be safer on the mountain not only during National Safety Awareness Week but throughout the entire ski and snowboard season.”

Topics include: terrain park etiquette classes, avalanche awareness, avalanche dog demos, on-mountain safety as well as activities for kids like a safety scavenger hunt.
