Eighth annual US Editors’ Picks Awards for Best Cruise Lines of 2015
Seattle, WA — Cruise Critic named Un-Cruise Adventures best cruise line for adventure in its 2015 US Editors’ Picks Awards. It is Un-Cruise Adventures’ first award from Cruise Critic Editors’ Picks and the line’s fourth overall award in 2015.
“This award is very exciting for everyone at Un-Cruise Adventures,” said Captain Dan Blanchard, CEO. “We work extremely hard to ensure that our guests experience unique and exciting adventures on all of our trips and to be recognized for this is wonderful news.”
Cruise Critic is an online cruise review site with cruise news, editor reviews and a forum for members. The Cruise Critic Editors’ Picks Awards are selected by the international team of editors, based on the lines and ships they feel best represent excellence in each of the 25 categories.
“We are thrilled to be recognized by Cruise Critic for this prestigious award,” said Tim Jacox, president and COO. “We are looking forward to new adventures with upcoming explorations in Panama, Costa Rica and the Galapagos Islands.”
Cruise Critic editors had high praise for Un-Cruise Adventures and the unique experience that’s provided to their guests. Stating that, “While most expedition cruise lines take you to far-flung destinations, not all of them give you the means to actually get off the ship and hike, kayak, stand-up paddleboard and snorkel. Un-Cruise does all this in Alaska, Hawaii, the Pacific Northwest, Baja Mexico and (next year) Costa Rica and the Galapagos while still providing luxuries like massages and free wine and beer.”
Celebrating 20 years in 2016, the company operates a fleet of eight small ships carrying 22-88 guests. Boutique yachts, expedition vessels and small ships sail adventure and river cruises in Alaska, Hawaiian Islands, Mexico’s Sea of Cortés and the Pacific Northwest. In 2016, eight departures will be offered in the Galápagos Islands and adventure cruising begins in Costa Rica/Panamá. An all Panamá adventure cruise begins in 2017.
