Awards for tour operators based on customer reviews
Vienna, AUSTRIA – TourRadar will assess customer reviews to determine the Most Amazing Tour of 2013. The only reviews-based award in the group tour industry will be given to the tour that receives the best customer feedback of 2013. Throughout December, participating tour operators will get their travellers to leave reviews at www.TourRadar.com/most-amazing-tour with the winners to be announced in January.
TourRadar co-founder and CEO Travis Pittman says, “Our ‘Most Amazing Tour’ award is the only contest in the world rewarding tour operators for great reviews. Tour operators can use these to advertise their tours in the most genuine way possible: using the honest opinions of their customers.”
TourRadar will announce the winners in January, with all winners receiving the prestigious “Most Amazing Tour” badges – as seen here. The contest will operate on a level playing field, with winners selected not only on the quantity of reviews received, but also on the quality of reviews and ratings. So smaller, regional tour operators can compete with larger, global tour operators for the title of “Most Amazing Tour 2013.”
In addition to the overall winner, one winning tour will be selected per continent. Last year’s competition saw participation from over 200 tour operators worldwide. Travellers left almost 1,000 reviews, and the resulting consumer interactions were seen by over 600,000 people on Facebook. Canadian operator Free & Easy Traveler’s “Thailand: Experience the Land of Smiles” tour was crowned 2012’s “Most Amazing Tour.” Amongst other winning brands were Topdeck, Tucan Travel and Trek America.
