Tierra del Volcan has won an award for the public recognition of the corporations, Multinational and National enterprises, local governments, universities, amongst others, that demonstrate through technical standards, their creative thinking, innovative strategies and sustained efforts to build a more equitable society, while supporting conservation of natural resources.
It was a very competitive process in which the most important companies of the Region participated. Tierra del Volcan won the Honour Mentions on the following areas:
- Triple Bottom Line (Economic, Environmental and Social)
- Better Economic Practices
- Better Environmental Practices
- Responsible Marketing
- Better Social Practices
- Better Corporate Citizen Leadership.
Tierra del Volcan also won the maximum recognition of the event: the General Ruminahui Award for Corporate Social Responsibility 2010.
General Ruminahui Award has the support of the Global Reporting Initiative, Business in the Community, Confidenza, Hexagon Consultants and the S2M Foundation.
