Collaborative Adventure Tours and Lodging Platform Inspires and Motivates

Leading digital adventure travel platform The Outbound Collective today announced the launch of an adventure tour and lodging marketplace. Driven by feedback from the community, The Outbound platform is expanding to include lodging and adventure-focused tour offerings, providing a holistic experience for consumers at every stage of the travel journey, from inspiration and planning to participating in local adventures and experiences.

“We’ve spent the last 5 years building an engaged community around adventure and travel — we’re a trusted source of inspiration for over 12 million users and almost 800,000 social media followers,” says Brian Heifferon, CEO of The Outbound. “Providing ways for our user base to discover adventure tours and lodging options as they plan travel is a natural evolution of our current platform. With our existing collection of over 16,000 highly-trafficked local adventures, we can deliver tour and lodging suggestions in context, when we know a consumer is already researching a particular destination.”

Tour partners at launch include the original adventure travel company, MT Sobek, heli-based adventure provider CMH Heli-Skiing & Summer Adventures, yoga retreats and adventure company Yogascapes, global adventure provider World Expeditions, and photography travel brand Moment Travel. Lodging partners at launch include experiential travel and glamping leader, Under Canvas, leading destination lodging and tour provider Aramark, adventure-focused hotel chain LOGE Camps, private campsite company Tentrr, and global co-living/co-working lodging provider Outsite. Tentrr Founder, Michael D’Agostino, said, “Tentrr is honored to join The Outbound Collective to help more people explore and enjoy the outdoors. Through this innovative partnership, Tentrr is excited to introduce their passionate user base access the best camping spots throughout the country. ”

The Outbound Collective is excited to launch with these world-class partners and will be continuing to onboard new tour and lodging providers, as well as developing additional features and content marketing opportunities for partners.
