The first of its kind, AdventureNEXT Patagonia is turning everyone’s eyes to the southern tip of Latin America. The Region of Magallanes and the Chilean Antarctic will host a spin-off from the Adventure Travel Trade Association's (ATTA) AdventureNEXT event series. Taking place 12-14 September 2022 in Torres del Paine, this event will offer a combination of B2B Marketplace, keynotes, round table discussions, and one-to-one networking opportunities.

Having hosted several virtual and in-person events in the past, such as a destination showcase on the Route of Parks, AdventureWeek Tierra del Fuego in 2017, and the Adventure Travel World Summit in 2015, Chile and its regions have been some of ATTA’s longest country partners. With an active industry and committed professionals ceaselessly bringing ambitious goals for the adventure travel community, Chile is a country and a region that consistently astonishes new and former visitors.

The destination is famous for its fjords and glaciers, and dreamlike places like Cape Horn, the Magellan Strait, and Torres del Paine National Park. The province has a unique history with early explorers such as Fitz Roy and Darwin, Cook, Drake, Le Maire, Parker King, and even Shackleton. The territory was first inhabited by four different Indigenous tribes–Selk'nam, Aonikenk, Yaganaes, and Kawesqar–with some of their traditions and cultural expressions being recovered and revalued as deep roots that connect with our contemporary way of living.

Delegates will explore the entire region with thoughtfully curated Pre-Adventure activities that showcase the best adventures the region has to offer in nature, culture, cuisine, and traditions of Patagonia. Day of Adventure excursions will take delegates on a deep immersion into Torres del Paine National Parks and its wonders, including activities such as glacier hiking, kayaking, puma tracking, fjords navigations, birdwatching, and trekking up to the towers’ lookout.

The event will gather Chilean suppliers, media, international buyers, and industry partners on an intense itinerary looking to reconnect with each other, nature, and our principles. We will push together the travel industry to reactivate, gaining insights on trends and tools that can bring tourism back better. And together, we will get inspired by one of the world’s hotspots for rewilding, looking to spark new ideas that can help us regenerate our planet.
