The Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA) is proud to announce a new strategic partnership with the South Pacific Tourism Organisation (SPTO), signaling a shared commitment to spotlighting the South Pacific as a premier destination for adventure travel rooted in sustainability, culture, and community.
This collaboration builds on existing relationships in the region, with ATTA already working alongside the tourism offices of Vanuatu, Fiji, and the Cook Islands. Now, through this partnership, we’re expanding the opportunity to connect even more Pacific Island nations with our global adventure community.
The MOU between ATTA and SPTO reflects a strong alignment of values—supporting climate resilience, regenerative tourism, and deeper connections between travelers and local communities. Together, we aim to elevate the visibility of Pacific destinations that offer not only stunning natural landscapes, but also meaningful, culturally rich experiences.
ATTA is also present this weekend at SPTO’s flagship annual event, the South Pacific Tourism Exchange (SPTE), where we’ll connect with regional stakeholders and explore ways to bring the Pacific’s stories, people, and places to the forefront of global adventure travel.
“This partnership is an exciting step forward,” said Shannon Stowell, CEO of ATTA. “The South Pacific is full of promise for travelers seeking real connection and impact. We’re looking forward to working closely with SPTO to help more adventurers discover this incredible part of the world.”
