SERNATUR, Chile's National Tourism Service has Called for Submissions to Present to the International Forum on Indigenous Tourism

7f475a59-7a7c-4df7-98c3-bc1580cff2ffThe international forum on Indigenous tourism,  Foro Internacional De Tourismo Originaro (FITO 2015) is being held on October 10 in Puerto Varas, and will mark the culmination of Chile’s Indigenous Tourism Agenda 2015 - a process led by the Ministry of Economy, through the Undersecretary of Tourism, SERNATUR, and supported by the World Indigenous Tourism Alliance (WINTA).

FITO 2015 will be an important forum for bringing together Indigenous peoples with international and regional tourism industry leaders and public agencies, to enable an exchange of experiences aimed at strengthen Indigenous tourism. The forum is expected to be of great interest to tourism operators and leaders of destinations around the world seeking to establish business links with communities of indigenous peoples who have developed a range of tourist services of high cultural value.

SERNATUR is now calling for the submission of applications from interested persons/organization having experience in the empowerment of Indigenous peoples through tourism, to present short papers or cases to FITO 2015. Submission must be made by completing the Form 2015 Presentation FITO  by 18 September 2015. This call is particularly addressed to ATWS 2015 attendants, who are all invited to the forum.
