Upscape Bike & WineSantiago, CHILE — South America-based Santiago Adventures announces a total brand change and today unveils its new logo, website, and corporate name: Upscape. The new Upscape brand reflects the company’s continued commitment to offering the widest range of bespoke tours in the southern cone region, including Chile, Argentina, and Uruguay. Upscape also announces a new office location, and new tours that include “Ski In / Wine Out,” and private multisport journeys that explore remote regions of northern Patagonia.

“By rebranding our company as Upscape, we are better able to convey the breadth of our southern cone journeys and our passion for providing soulful, authentic travel experiences that a traveler is unlikely to stumble upon on their own,” said Upscape owner and founder Brian Pearson, a Vermont native. “Whether meeting local winemakers and sampling South American cuisine with local chefs, biking through rainforest to a private hacienda in Patagonia, heli-skiing the Andes, or discovering the cultural charisma of a major urban city, no two Upscape experiences will ever be exactly the same.”

upscape_full-logo_colorAs an American-owned business located in South America, Upscape benefits from both worlds, fully understanding the expectations of international travelers while enjoying a local presence and insider’s knowledge that ensures that trips are fresh, relevant, and feature the very best Chile, Argentina and Uruguay have to offer. Upscape clients are mainly English-speaking travelers with a desire to privately explore the corners of the southern cone region, while leaving the details to a reliable and discerning local operator.

Upscape also announces its relocation to a larger office space within the walls of an antique mansion in the hip, design-centric Santiago neighborhood Barrio Italia. The new office was necessary to accommodate Upscape’s expanding staff, store its fleet of vehicles and trailers, and store its fleet of 60 bicycles, which include the recent acquisition of E-Bikes. Upscape is the only company in Chile to offer electric bicycles for tours. The office also includes a modern kitchen and wine tasting bar to host local events with winemakers and chefs.

NEW TOURS FOR 2015. Upscape is the southern cone specialist for ski, bike and wine tours, and the region’s leader in crafting custom trips according to a traveler’s interests and desires.

  • Ski In / Wine Out. A special multiday ski tour that visits Valle Nevado, Portillo, Ski Arpa and Chillán, paired with stays at local haciendas and visits to boutique wineries, nightly wine tastings and ski touring with MOVI director Derek Mossman, and gourmet dining.
  • Urban Inspiration & Patagonian Adventure. A 15-day epic journey that combines the best of Argentina and Chile: The cultural charms of Buenos Aires, Santiago & Valparaiso; exhilarating trekking in Patagonian national parks; and bike & wine trips in coastal Chile.
  • Your Own Private Patagonia. A one-week, multisport journey mixes it up with biking, rafting, trekking and horseback riding through the pristine Andean wilderness of little-explored northern Patagonia, with stays in cozy, local lodges.

Ski ArpaSKI & SNOWBOARD ADVENTURES: Upscape is a winter snow specialist for Chile and Argentina, offering epic heli-skiing tours of the Andes and a exceptionally detailed knowledge of ski resorts and backcountry tours, but more importantly Upscape acts as the operations manager and central reservations desk for South America’s only cat skiing operation, Ski Arpa, located near San Esteban in central Chile (

WINE TOURS: No other tour operator in South America offers a more interesting variety of wine tours or has more experience guiding travelers to wine country than Upscape. Owner Pearson and his team have visited more than 200 wineries in Chile, Argentina and Uruguay to craft wine tours that go beyond the basic cellar and put travelers in contact with winemakers, tour vineyards not normally open to the public, and explore the backroads of wine country via bicycle or even helicopter.

BIKE TOURS: Upscape is the largest bike tour operator in Chile, with tours to wine country, the Lake District, Patagonia, and an enjoyable bike tour through the streets of Santiago to visit the city’s cultural and historical highlights and gastronomic havens. Bike tours can be planned for the day or as part of an active multiday journey that gets travelers out of a tour vehicle and into fresh air, allowing for a more contemplative way to savor the Chilean scenery.

DESTINATION SPECIALIST: Upscape doesn’t just visit destinations in Chile, Argentina and Uruguay once every few years, the staff visits regularly. With their ear to the ground, Upscape specialists can book custom-designed journeys for individuals and groups that take travelers beyond the norm, to secret hotels and haciendas, unforgettable attractions not normally on the tourism trail, and informal, one-on-one experiences with local Chileans and indigenous groups.
