Quasar Expeditions has been named the number one small-ship ocean cruise line in Travel + Leisure's World's Best Awards for the second year in a row. The result of an extensive reader's survey, the Travel + Leisure winners were announced on July 10th.
"It is such an honor that the readers of Travel + Leisure magazine have chosen Quasar Expeditions as the top small-ship cruise line for the second year. We are thrilled and truly appreciate each and every person who took the time to vote," said Dolores Gangotena Diez, Founder and Director of PR at Quasar Expeditions.
Quasar Expeditions operates cruises around the Galapagos Islands on their two yachts, the M/V Evolution and M/Y Grace, and will soon be adding a third yacht to their fleet. The privately-owned company is a strong advocate of sustainability, offering carbon neutral adventures and partnering with several conservation organizations. Quasar's core mission is to provide guests the opportunity to visit remote destinations while leaving the smallest footprint possible.
The winners were selected via a survey developed by the editors of Travel + Leisure, in association with research firm M&RR. Respondents were asked to rate airlines, airports, cities, cruise ships, hotels, hotel brands, islands, tour operators, and safari outfitters on a number of characteristics. The scores are indexed averages of responses concerning applicable characteristics.
All winners will be honored at the Travel + Leisure awards ceremony in New York City on July 16, 2019.
