The Adventure Travel Trade Association is excited to announce details about the adventurous pre-conference excursions for delegates attending AdventureNEXT Near East. The event, being held 15-17 May 2017 on the shores of the Dead Sea in Jordan, is the first adventure travel conference of its kind in the region, and the pre-adventure offerings promise to highlight the best the region has to offer.
Thousands of tourists visit Jordan every year, often with an emphasis on religious or cultural tourism, but with AdventureNEXT and the pre-adventure itineraries, delegates will experience the diverse, more adventurous, and lesser-known aspects of Jordan. In fact, the event has already garnered the attention of notable tour companies already registered to attend, including Intrepid Travel, KE Adventure Travel, TCS World Travel, Academic Experiences Abroad, The Clymb, and more. ExOfficio is the official gear partner.
“AdventureNEXT Near East is the hub for business development, education, and experiences for travel in a region that has every possible adventure anyone can dream of,” said Malia Asfour director of the Jordan Tourism Board, North America. “Experiences in the region will incorporate authentic and natural interaction with local communities where hospitality is part of everyone’s DNA. It is a part of the world that is welcoming in every way.”
Pre-adventure itineraries during AdventureNEXT explore many of protected areas of Jordan, including Dana Biosphere Reserve and Wadi Rum (Jordan’s largest wadi, or valley), both of which showcase Jordan Tourist Board’s commitment to sustainability.
The following pre-adventure tours have been confirmed. Summaries of the itineraries are as follows:
Registered delegates can reserve their first choice beginning March 15. Most adventures are three to six days long, vary in price, and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. View details on all the pre-adventure itineraries for AdventureNEXT Near East.
Tour operators and travel trade interested in Jordan and the Near East region are encouraged to register to attend AdventureNEXT Near East.
