Ocean Quest is a multi-faceted adventure company whose purpose is to share our passion for the unique culture, history, and natural wonders of Newfoundland and Labrador with people from all over the world.
Beginning as a scuba diving charter to four World War 2 wrecks, Ocean Quest has grown to include 4 star accommodations, mainstream soft-adventure, bus charters, boat charters, scuba diving training, and cultural experiences. As a small company with significant resources, Ocean Quest prides itself on being able to provide customized itineraries to suit any individual or group. With a 32 Cape Islander boat, 2 Rigid Hull Inflatable Boats, a fleet of sea kayaks, 6 room lodge, 2 buses, and staff full of adventure specialists, Ocean Quest can provide holistic and comprehensive vacation experiences.
Our primary products include scuba diving, hiking, sea kayaking, escorted cultural tours, boat tours, snorkeling (including snorkeling with humpback whales), and accommodations. These products are fun by themselves, but offering them in Newfoundland offers experiences that travelers can’t get anywhere else. Every year hundreds of humpback whale and icebergs pass our shores, and Ocean Quest brings you closer than anyone else! Beautiful panoramic vistas punctuated by towering rock formations and dramatic shorelines are around every corner. Newfoundland is truly an adventurer’s paradise, with so much so close at hand. With these product offerings, we are able to market ourselves to the mainstream soft-adventure seeking audience and the scuba diving audience.
Ocean Quest operates in two locations. Our main facility and lodge are located in Conception Bay South, Newfoundland, just minutes from St. John’s International Airport, and this is where the bulk of our product offerings are located. Our satellite location in Terra Nova National Park, Newfoundland and Labrador’s first National Park, offers sea kayaking, snorkeling, and boat tours during spring and summer months.
Ultimately, Ocean Quest is seeking to network with other adventure industry members and to create new and exciting partnerships. Newfoundland and Labrador is such a truly special place and we want to bring it to new markets, new visitors, and new partners, as well as learn from other industry professionals how to best present our home on the international stage.
