Concord, NH – The New Hampshire Division of Travel and Tourism Development (DTTD) welcomes Kris Neilsen of Concord to its staff as its new Communications and Social Media Manager.

“We’re excited to have someone with Kris’s experience join our team,” said DTTD Acting Director Amy Bassett.  “Kris has extensive communications and media experience that will help us as we continue to grow New Hampshire’s reputation as a vacation destination.”

Neilsen has spent the last 7 years as Communications Director for the State’s largest agency, the NH Department of Health and Human Services, where she oversaw internal and external communications.  Prior to that, Neilsen worked at WMUR as the Lakes Region Reporter covering stories about the people and places that make New Hampshire so unique.

“As a native of New Hampshire, I’m extremely passionate about the State and what it has to offer visitors and residents,” said Neilsen.  “I’m thrilled to be able to be in a position where I can share New Hampshire’s story with others.”

The communications and social media manager is responsible for developing, implementing, managing and monitoring a comprehensive communications and public relations plan to promote New Hampshire to residents and visitors.
