What if there was an adventure guide that brought all those places together so you could contact them direct? Much Better Adventures is an innovative, community generated adventure travel resource. In a world where your travel choices are increasingly mass produced, formulaic and green-washed, it is designed to unearth the independent, individual providers that are hardest to find online.
The wider mission is to support local business and reward ethical practice, by developing technological solutions that cuts marketing costs for the people who deserve it most – new small businesses, community groups, and not for profits.
That’s what we are up to. If fair trade did adventure travel, it would probably look like this…
- Adventure directory rewarding ethics
Local, independent businesses suggested by the adventure community, or our network of ambassadors, are added to the directory for free. Those with a genuine ongoing commitment to sustainable practice are rewarded with featured ‘muchbetter’ profiles and more functionality on the site. Low cost upgrades help you get the most from the site, and allow us to do more for you. Special offers for ATTA members available.
- Sustainability Consultancy
Not quite ‘muchbetter’ yet? We have developed a quick sustainability consultancy for accommodation and operators in conjunction with Sustainable Travel International – designed to get you started saving money and going greener.
- News and blogs
We feature adventurers, news, destinations and ethical issues in our popular collaborative blog and monthly e-magazine. Please contact us to submit articles or be a guest writer.
A global travel resource for all adventure sports and activities. Primarily serving the UK market, but with good connections in Europe and the US too. We partnered Changemakers on this year’s Geotourism Challenge.
- Working together
Contact us to discuss your inclusion on the site, or to find out more about the consultancy.
Know a place? Please suggest them through the site. Also looking to expand our network of muchbetter ambassadors – local experts to help us develop the guides, get featured, and earn some money back in return.
