Mountain Travel Sobek, a leading adventure travel company specializing in group and custom journeys, proudly announces the appointment of Steve Fuller as a new member of the company's board. In this role, Fuller will bring extensive expertise in marketing, branding, and sales generation strategies.

Fuller retired from L.L. Bean Inc. in 2016, where he served as the Chief Marketing Officer / Senior Vice President of Marketing from 2002–2016. During his tenure, he oversaw the company’s worldwide sales and marketing efforts and drove exceptional growth for the company. In addition to being a talented multi-channel marketer, Fuller is an architect of company transformation—significantly improving customer acquisition, retention, and overall satisfaction for L.L. Bean and the other companies he has served. Currently, Fuller sits on a number of boards including Boyne Resorts and Quad/Graphics.

“We are excited to have Steve join the Mountain Travel Sobek team,” said Tom Lee, Chairman of the Board at Mountain Travel Sobek. “His expertise will provide further guidance on improving our approach to our existing clients and expanding our new client experience. Steve’s skills plus his passion for the outdoors and active travel will be a great asset to the company. We are thrilled to welcome Steve to the board.”

“I am honored to join the board at Mountain Travel Sobek,” said Steve Fuller. “My first exposure to Mountain Travel Sobek was over 15 years ago as part of the L.L. Bean Traveler brand. I’m a huge fan of what they’re doing in the adventure travel space and I’m looking forward to helping them grow their business.”

In addition to being named one of the Top CMOs in the Boston Area in 2014–2015, Fuller is an annual speaker at Dartmouth College’s Tuck Business School and is on the Board of Trustees at Bates College. He has also served on Google’s Retail Advisory Council. Fuller holds a BA degree in English from Bates College, an MBA from Boston College, and completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School. He is an avid and accomplished photographer with clients across the adventure sports world including Rossignol, Kashi, Outside magazine and Powder magazine to name a few. His own travels have taken him from New Zealand to Argentina to the top of Mount Fuji and nearly everywhere in between.
