Adventure experiences in Villa la Angostura vary by interest and season.
Horseback Riding: Ride through the Patagonian forest or exploring ancient Indian trails, lasting from a couple of hours to several days crossings.
Canoe / Kayak Excursions: Venture out onto the lake for several hours or all day trips to uninhabited bays and beaches. There is also the possibility of two or three days expeditions within the Nahuel Huapi National Park.
Hiking / Trekking: Moderate difficulty lasting between three to five hours within the Patagonian forest that lead to breathtaking panoramic views. Low physical demand and without technical difficulty.
Mountain Trekking: Hikes lasting several days across steep hills and valleys. Some areas host shelters and amenities while others are isolated, wild and unfrequented. Winter hiking is also an option, lasting from three to five hours through the Bosques de Patagonia.
Sailing: An alternative perspective from which to take in Villa la Angostura and its main protagonist, the lake. Specific destinations inclue the Bosque de Arrayanes protected forrest; rural populations where access is only possible through water; Isla Victoria island.
Fly Fishing: Fishing excursions designed and led by a professional team based on your own past experience, preferences and the time of year for trout fishing.
Rafting: Exciting for those seeking action, experience crossing raging rapids and narrow canyons. Requires medium physical condition and able to swim.
Ski: Can be practiced in various forms, both traditional alpine and expeditions. Villa la Angostura has its own ski resort, Cerro Bayo, also nearby are the mountains of Chapelco, Cathedral, Antillaca, Volcan Osorno, Batea Mahuida Caviahue.
Canopy: Adventure excursions to discover the landscape by flying through it on a steel cable circuit attached to the trees.
Tourism: Villa la Angostura is located in the center of the corridor region of Argentina and Chile Lakes, with easy access to various towns and cities that boast panoramic views of mountains, hills, lakes, and landscapes. Possible routes include: Seven Lakes and St. Martin; Traful Cuyin Manzano and Valle Encantado, Bariloche, El Bolson and Lago Puelo cross the Andes to Chile: Valdivia, Termas de Puyehue, Puerto Montt and Puerto Varas.
