Spearheaded by Chief Executive Officer Adam Stewart, this revolutionary event will see experts from across the sector convene to discuss industry-specific challenges, opportunities and explore avenues for growth and development.

“Whether it’s moving from one excursion to two, or expanding into a new destination, we know that there are challenges and we are committed to working with our partners to overcome these. In a billion-dollar industry, we are also aware that numerous opportunities exist. The conference will provide a platform for this growing community to pose questions to experts and to each other, as a way to enhance their own operations. We're extremely proud to be hosting what I believe is a ground-breaking and very positive step forward for this sector,” stated Stewart.

As the five time recipient of the World Travel Award for the World’s Leading Caribbean Attraction Company[1], Island Routes is a respected authority within the sector and well placed to host this conference, its newest initiative to support attractions providers across the region. The conference will be held at Sandals Ochi Beach Resort from September 13-16, 2016 and will include speakers such as Minister Edmund Bartlett, Jamaica's Minister of Tourism, Tara Lano, Director of Product Planning and Promotions, Leisure, Flight Centre, USA and Carlton Alexander Chair in Management Studies and Director of the Centre for Tourism and Policy, Professor Ian Boxill.

Beyond the conference itself, Island Routes will also be introducing the Island Routes Certified Partner Program as part of its continued commitment to delivering first-class service to its customers and to show recognition to the strict operational standards employed by its partners.

Stewart continued, “As a company, we always strive to deliver a guest experience that exceeds expectations and motivates customers to book incredible adventures. These experiences often lead to community engagements and ultimately linkages for extensive economic benefits. We recognise however, that this would not be achievable without our valued partners. It is after all their products that keep customers coming back time and time again!

We strongly believe that helping our partners to develop and grow is what will ensure Island Routes, and the tours and attractions industry, continues to provide the latest and greatest experiences for visitors. This is why we have decided to host this pioneering conference and launch the Island Routes Certified Partner Program. We want to create an industry standard that attractions providers and consumers can recognize and trust. We pose rigorous checks and standards on all of our partners and believe that they should be recognized for their commitment to meeting these.”

Island Routes will be live streaming the primary conference speakers and will also be posting links to additional video content following the event. Streaming information will be made available a few days prior to the event via the company’s website and media alert.
