Skokie, IL – Grand Trunk, makers of goods for the road less traveled, is honored to receive three awards from OutdoorGearLab, a website dedicated to credible and detailed side-by-side outdoor product comparison reviews. OutdoorGearLab recently conducted extensive tests comparing top-performing hammocks for camping and outdoor adventure, and Grand Trunk’s legendary hammocks clenched two ‘Top Pick’ awards as well as the ‘Best Buy’ award.

The first ‘Top Pick’ is given to Grand Trunk’s Double Hammock, which is made with durable, comfortable parachute nylon and is large enough for two people. At 10’5” (L) and 6’5” (W), the Double Hammock is praised for being the most spacious in the test and measures over a foot longer than the competition.

"The spacious Grand Trunk Double does it all, and does it all well. It earns our Top Pick award for the best double hammock because of its comfortable, durable material and easy set-up,” comments Chris McNamara, editor-in-chief of OutdoorGearLab.

While the Nano 7 Hammock wins a second ‘Top Pick’ award for being the most lightweight, packable hammock on the market.

"The Grand Trunk Nano 7 wins our Top Pick award for being the best hammock for ultralight backpacking. Weighing a scant seven ounces and packing to the size of a baseball, this hammock barely takes up any space in a pack," continues McNamara.

Lastly, Grand Trunk’s Ultralight Travel Hammock wins a Best Buy award for being extraordinarily lightweight and the best value compared to the competition. "The Grand Trunk Ultralight is an excellent lightweight, introductory hammock and is available at a more than reasonable price, earning it our Best Buy award," adds McNamara.

“We strive to design products that enhance the outdoor experience and provide real value for all types of adventurers,” explains Grand Trunk VP, Jon Neff. “We’re thrilled to have Outdoor Gear Lab commend our efforts as we continue to create unique and packable travel gear.”
