Popular Series Campaign Leverages Award-Winning Storytelling and Global Network of Industry Partners; Free Campaign Report Showcases Key Industry Lessons

Kennebunk, Maine (June 3, 2020) — GLP Films (GLP), the award-winning content marketing agency dedicated to global sustainable tourism, is pleased to announce #TourismStrong — an inspiring new video series campaign celebrating the passion, commitment and resiliency of the travel industry amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. The series shares real on-the-ground and impactful stories of resiliency from the travel trade industry.

Hosted by GLP’s Founder Rob Holmes, the initial goal of the series was to give back and help the travel trade industry through authentic and positive storytelling amidst COVID-19. Therefore, during the pandemic, GLP has reconnected with its global family of over 150 film partners across 50 countries. The result has been dynamic, engaging, and insightful conversations of first-hand experiences from the leaders across the travel industry, revealing positive stories of resiliency, adaptation, and innovation as they faced one of the most challenging times in history.

The #TourismStrong video series purposely features interviews with a diverse mix of organizations across the travel industry, including government ministries, tour operators, accommodations, restaurants, and nonprofits. Covering four continents, some of the most notable interviews of the series include a Senegalese chef feeding healthcare workers in NYC; supporting anti-poaching efforts in Kenya and Belize with Adventure Travel Conservation Fund (ATCF); community-based tourism on the Andaman coast with Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT); restaurateurs reinventing their businesses in Maine; and an eco-lodge revisioning transformational travel in Ecuador. The series has been launched online and via social media to great acclaim from both the travel industry and travelers watching from their homes during the quarantine.
