Melbourne, VIC (OPENPRESS) -- Gap Adventures, an award-winning tour operator committed to changing people’s lives through travel, today announced that they will be offering 15% off all small-group adventure tours sold out of Australia.

With the Australian dollar at its highest level in more than 25 years, Gap Adventures is encouraging travellers to maximise their opportunity to reap immediate savings on the trip, while also benefiting from the increased value the Australian dollar currently holds in many overseas countries.
International travel companies generally set their pricing based on the US dollar. While some operators will pass on higher fees to travellers when local currencies weaken, few pass on savings or offer deals when local currencies strengthen.

“Under these exceptional circumstances, we felt there was an opportunity for us to pass savings on to our customers – we want to get our customers out there experiencing life, instead of just building our bottom line. That’s why we’re offering 15% off the majority of our small-group adventures.” said Gap Adventures Head Honcho for Australia and New Zealand, Pete Rawley.

Gap Adventures’ commitment to offering local travellers the best deal possible can lead to savings of more than $1195AUD for travellers who book between 13th October and 31st October 2010 (for travel by 31st March 2011). Some tour exclusions apply.
