The day-long Industry Conference opens a day before the largest travel trade exhibition in North America, offering travel professionals the opportunity to hear from travel industry experts on the latest products, services, destinations, and trends in exclusive focus sessions.

At “Focus on Adventure: Redefining Adventure Travel & Can Adventure Travel Cure What Ails Us?” attendees will learn from ATTA leaders how offerings around the world have adjusted to meet the needs of travelers seeking meaningful, valuable, and active experiences — not just trips. From small-ship expedition cruises and rural culinary experiences to hiking routes tracing historical footsteps, the ATTA will share what the new definition of adventure travel means to businesses facing the past and embracing the future of their clientele, whether they’re looking for experiences ranging from fully guided to self-guided.

Digging even deeper, Tip will explain how travel helps meet global goals of reducing poverty, empowering women, fostering peace, supporting animal welfare, and preserving traditional cultures. He’ll share stories to inspire audience members s to use their limited budgets and vacation time for global good, while leading with purpose, compassion, and a "do-the-right-thing" philosophy.

Tip and the ATTA will also share the top, hot destinations for adventure travel in 2017, based on G Adventures’ experience, sales, and tens of thousands of customer surveys and ATTA’s Industry Snapshot report.

In special partnership with the show organizers and Chile, an industry AdventureConnect social will follow the session.

To attend the full industry conference program including the Focus on Adventure session, ATTA Members can register for a full conference pass at a discounted rate (code: ADVENTURE). A free day exhibition pass is also available for trade, granting access to the AdventureConnect and trade exhibition only (without access to the session).
