A team of Adventures
All the Experience Jordan team love exploring and we’re here to create the perfect tour for travellers’ needs, whether it’s sightseeing, hiking, cycling or family adventures. All our trips focus on genuine local experiences, whether its staying with a local family, camping out under the stars in the desert, learning to cook Arabic food, exploring the markets, riding a camel, engaging with the people or even learn some Arabic greetings? Our international team has travelled the world, so we know what’s it’s like to be a traveller, so we aim to give outstanding service and include the best practices we’ve learned global into our trips.
Our tours include include world famous sites with amazing variety and uniqueness of the region, such as the historical sites of the Old City of Jerusalem, the Pyramids of Egypt or Petra, the natural wonders of the Dead Sea or Red Sea, to the breathtaking scenery of Wadi Rum, Sinai’s wilderness or the northern hills around Sea of Galilee. We combine this with the renowned hospitality of the Bedouin and people of the region, hence so many of our travellers say it’s the best holiday they have ever had.
Adventure Tours
We love to customize every trip to the exact needs of each traveller or group, particularly for our adventure trips, as keen hikers and cyclists ourselves, we know that every group has different needs, depending on their fitness and holiday aims.
We seek to make adventure accessible for a range of travellers, and we understand some customers want to sleep under the stars in a wilderness campsite, whilst other prefer a 5-star hotel after a day’s hiking or sightseeing. We can arrange both to unsure all our travellers get the balance of tour they desire.
Constantly Pioneering
Jordan has so many treasures, both its natural environment, and its people. At Experience Jordan we are committed that the experiences we offer help to protect and replenish the environment and create wealth and better futures for communities across Jordan.
We have helped to pioneer the Jordan Trail as a way of creating new adventures and generating income across Jordan. Our own intrepid explorer, Amjad Shahrour, spent all over 18 months hiking and mapping the length of the entire country, supported by a team of others. The result is a 630Km 36-day hiking trail featuring some of the most unique landscapes in the world and passing through some of Jordan’s poorest communities. Sections of the hike, such as Dana to Petra have been acknowledged by National Geographic as one of the top ten multi-day hikes in the world. We are now progressively working with the local communities along the entire trail, developing homestays or campsites for accommodation, training and empowering local hiking guides to share their lives and stories on route.
Out of a love for nature, we started weekly hikes and cultural experiences every weekend, where tourists, expats and local Jordanians could come together, get out of the city and experience Jordan’s lesser know treasures. We are the first company in Jordan to join the Leave No Trace initiative, and on each of our trips we teach people about the philosophy of “Leave No Trace”, and educate our clients about keeping the countryside clean. We always finish our hikes collecting extra trash and leaving each route cleaner than when we started.
