Exodus Adventure Travels, the international leader in small group guided adventure tours, is marking 2025 as a year of significant innovation with the launch of two major initiatives: Extensions and Extras and Private Group Adventures. Both programs reflect the company’s commitment to improving flexibility, personalization, and inclusivity for today’s travelers.
The Extensions and Extras program introduces a new layer of customization for Exodus’ nearly 500 trips across more than 90 countries. Travelers and travel advisors can now seamlessly add curated experiences such as wildlife lodge stays, wellness retreats, or guided cultural deep-dives. Alongside these trip extensions, the program also includes streamlined services such as flight booking with upgrade options, hotel enhancements, and tailored travel insurance.
“For the first time, we are offering a comprehensive way for guests to shape every stage of their journey, from flights to final experiences,” said Sasha Andrews, Director of Industry for North America at Exodus Adventure Travels. “Extensions and Extras is a game-changer for how travelers engage with guided tours, giving them more flexibility and control while ensuring the seamless service we’re known for.”
The new flight platform, managed by in-house aviation specialists, eliminates the need for separate bookings and provides support with changes, cancellations, and disruptions. Meanwhile, upgraded accommodation and insurance options give travelers added comfort and peace of mind, further reinforcing Exodus’ reputation for high-quality, traveler-focused service.
In tandem, the company also unveiled Private Group Adventures, a program designed to meet growing demand for customized group travel. Available for groups of eight or more, the offering includes discounts of up to 10% or complimentary group spaces, along with the flexibility to select preferred departure dates and request upgrades. Groups still benefit from Exodus’ award-winning itineraries and local guides while enjoying a more personalized, shared adventure.
“Private Adventures are the perfect way for people of common interests and backgrounds to travel together with the benefits of expert planning, the best local guides in the business, and built-in savings,” Andrews noted.
Targeted groups range from cycling clubs, walking associations, and women-only travelers to multigenerational families, corporate teams, and charity challenge participants. Examples include Amalfi Coast hiking journeys, cultural explorations through Tuscany, and wildlife-focused trips in the Abruzzo mountains that directly support rewilding efforts.
Together, these launches underscore Exodus’ strategy of pairing traveler autonomy with expert-led experiences. With a 50-year history, recognition from National Geographic Traveler, Condé Nast Traveler, and Travel + Leisure, and certification as a B Corporation, the company continues to strengthen its reputation as an innovator in the guided adventure sector.
By offering both expanded individual customization and new group-focused opportunities, Exodus Adventure Travels is positioning itself to meet the evolving preferences of a broader spectrum of adventure travelers—whether they’re seeking a few extra days in the Maldives, a book club journey abroad, or a corporate team-building trek in the Atlas Mountains.
