Conservation Concept is a one-woman networking show. As a sales, marketing and PR individual focused on building relationships between African safari properties and the North American market, my emphasis is on exclusive high-end properties of low volume, which enhance the harmony between conservation, communities and local economies. This ambition is rooted in my life-long dedication to Africa enhanced by over 10 years of industry experience.

I’m providing the response to an increased demand for specialized representation to expand the knowledge and expertise of North America sellers of safari tourism in the area of experiential, authentic and community-based tourism product. Representation is more than simply the passive distribution of marketing material – it is the challenge to be a North America ‘real time’ associate – offering immediate response to the market’s needs and knowing the nuances of my client’s product. Therefore, I believe in representing only a small number of products to ensure the utmost attention to each. I select companies carefully and each adheres to a common set of values with respect to conservation and tourism. It is, therefore, not only about effective representation but also a strong message of stewardship, which takes care and knowledge to effectively convey to the market.

My skills a honed after years of experience at the crossroads of the industry’s idiosyncrasies, from sales to operations to camp management, and finally to a Masters degree in community-based tourism from a University of Natal, South Africa.

I live in Louisville, CO (near Boulder), but my heart is in Africa.
