Brazil is ready to open a new window to the world. And what is revealed on the other side goes far beyond breathtaking landscapes: there are dense forests, untouched beaches, monumental rivers, and communities that preserve ancestral knowledge with pride and affection. This new perspective is an invitation to enchantment and has a fixed address: https://parquesnaturais.visitbrasil.com/en/.

Developed by Visit Brasil (EMBRATUR - Brazilian Agency for International Tourism Promotion), the portal is a global showcase that highlights Brazil's natural settings, promoting tourism that moves, connects, and transforms. More than just presenting destinations, the platform aims to attract more international tourists to Brazilian parks and invite them to feel the country in its most authentic form.

Initially, navigating the site reveals seven itineraries that intertwine biodiversity, culture, and outdoor activities, carefully selected to provide a genuine immersion into Brazil's diverse territories. These are paths that go beyond the visual, awakening the senses, stimulating connection, and fostering a sense of belonging. To ensure a complete and accessible experience, the selection of itineraries also considered technical criteria such as connectivity with airports and bus terminals, support structure in the parks, and availability of information for tourists.

“People want to travel with meaning and experience something truly touching. And Brazil has that power to move, to welcome, to transform. Our parks are much more than beautiful landscapes. They hold the history, culture, and ways of life of those who live off the land and with it. With this initiative, we are placing these territories at the center of our international strategy, showing that it is possible to conserve nature, generate income, create opportunities, and still enchant visitors. This is the Brazil we want to reveal to the world,” states Marcelo Freixo, President of Embratur.

The portal marks a new stage in the global promotion of nature tourism, offering international audiences experiences with purpose, positive impact, and a true connection with the territory.

The initiative is the result of a collaboration with the Semeia Institute, a non-profit philanthropic organization that works to leverage the sustainable socioeconomic development of Brazilian parks and conservation units. The partnership adopts an innovative approach by combining environmental conservation, strengthening local economies, and valuing traditional knowledge.

“We currently have about 16 million visits to national and state parks, but we can sustainably reach up to 56 million visits per year. Park tourism provides unique experiences, well-being, in addition to generating employment, income, and environmental conservation in these territories. Strengthening visitation to our parks by foreign tourists is a way to position Brazil as a global power in ecotourism and introduce the world to our people and our nature,” affirms Renata Mendes, Executive Director of the Semeia Institute.

A Country that Moves and Invests in Conservation

The platform debuts with two complete itineraries that reveal the contrasts and beauties of the Brazilian territory: the Parks of the Emotion Route (“Rota das Emoções”), along the coast and surrounding vibrant regions of the Northeast, and the Central Amazon Parks, amidst the grandeur of the largest tropical rainforest on the planet.

This is only the first phase of the project. Soon, five other itineraries will be added to the platform, totaling seven ways to experience the deepest diversity of Brazil, from the golden Cerrado (Brazilian Savanna) to the canyons of the South, from the mountains of Espírito Santo to the ancestral trails of indigenous peoples, covering all regions of Brazil. It is an invitation to the plurality of landscapes, knowledge, and emotions that make the country a unique global destination.

Emotion Route: A Northeast That Touches the Soul

Amidst wind-sculpted dunes, winding rivers, and traditions that span generations, the itinerary of the Parks of the Emotion Route is born, celebrating a sensitive, warm, and unforgettable Brazil. The journey connects the states of Maranhão, Piauí, and Ceará, revealing landscapes where nature and culture walk side by side.

In this journey, icons shine, such as the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park, a white-sand ecosystem with crystal-clear lagoons, recognized by UNESCO as a Natural World Heritage Site; the Parnaíba Delta, with its river labyrinths and flocks of red birds; and the charming village that gives its name to the Jericoacoara National Park, where the sunset is a daily ritual of connection with nature.

Encounters that awaken the senses reinforce how unforgettable this route can be: the silence of a sunset kayak ride on the Camurupim River; the glow of luminous plankton in the waters of Atins; the warmth of a sunset picnic in Lençóis; and the delicate gesture of crochet artisans, who embroider stories beneath the palm trees.

Central Amazon: Grandeur, Mystery, and Ancestral Connection

In the green immensity of the Central Amazon, Brazil reveals itself in its most wild, majestic, and sacred form. In the state of Amazonas, the second itinerary invites the traveler to immerse themselves in one of the most preserved regions on the planet—recognized by UNESCO as a Natural World Heritage Site and Biosphere Reserve. A journey between endless rivers, dense forests, and cultures that have resisted for centuries.

The route encompasses the Anavilhanas National Park, the Jaú National Park, and the Adolpho Ducke Forest Reserve, in addition to the Mamirauá Sustainable Development Reserve, true sanctuaries of biodiversity, where every trail and every river is a dive into wildlife and every silence echoes ancestral wisdom.

Activities include sailing through river archipelagos; nights in ecolodges in the heart of the forest; paddling through serene streams (igarapés); rituals with indigenous communities on the banks of the Rio Negro; and an immersion in the affective Amazonian cuisine, where the flavors carry stories of resilience and belonging.

Feel Brasil: Where Nature Meets Emotion

The Natural Parks portal connects with Feel Brasil, another strategic initiative by Embratur, by highlighting various experiences present in its portfolio. Together, the two projects reinforce the same mission: to present to the world a country made of authentic encounters, living territories, and transforming emotions.

Created in partnership with Sebrae (Brazilian Service for Support to Micro and Small Businesses), Feel Brasil brings together 101 tourist experiences distributed across all regions of the country. More than just a collection of itineraries, it is a mosaic of experiences led by those who work in conservation, share, and give life to the knowledge of the "deep Brazil." From rare bird watching in the Amazon to a safari in the Pantanal, from coral regeneration in Porto de Galinhas to rituals with indigenous peoples in Bahia, each proposal is an invitation to enchantment and transformation.

With versions available in six languages, Feel Brasil positions the country as a plural, vibrant, and welcoming destination. Approximately 70% of the experiences are offered by micro and small businesses, 59% are led by women, and over 80% focus on social inclusion, diversity, and sustainability. A finalist for the Skift IDEA Awards 2025 – People & Community and the City Nation Place Awards 2025, the initiative is a celebration of the human force that drives Brazilian tourism.

Brasis Plan: Innovation, Diversity, and Sustainability

The platform on Natural Parks is part of a broader international promotion strategy, aligned with Brasis Plan – International Tourism Marketing Plan 2025-2027, developed by Embratur in partnership with Sebrae and Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV).

Based on three pillars—innovation, diversity, and sustainability—the plan guides Brazil’s global action as a destination for authentic, inclusive, and transformative experiences. More than promoting landscapes, the country encourages tourism that inspires, connects, and moves, transforming every trip into a link between nature, culture, and humanity.
