The Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA) is pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for the first-ever North American AdventureWeek, which will be held in Banff and Lake Louise in Alberta, Canada, 6-12 October 2019.

AdventureWeek Banff & Lake Louise, delivered by the ATTA in partnership with Banff & Lake Louise Tourism, will showcase the adventure opportunities of the Alberta province. Top-tier international tour operators, travel advisors, travel journalists, and influencer/bloggers will be introduced to the region’s appeal in fall and beyond.

AdventureWeek Banff & Lake Louise will showcase adventure activities throughout Alberta.

“Following a very successful AdventureELEVATE in 2018, which revealed Banff and Lake Louise’s enormous potential, we’re excited to return this fall to explore the landscape, food, and adventures unique to the area,” said Russell Walters, the ATTA’s regional director of North America. “AdventureWeek Banff & Lake Louise is designed to dig deeper and get to know the people and outdoor culture in this part of the Canadian Rockies."

AdventureWeek Banff & Lake Louise showcases two itineraries: The Connect experience is a chance for attendees to discover the destination’s serene natural landscape while Immerse is a backcountry itinerary. Accessible by all, Connect offers an opportunity for intimate exploration of Banff National Park (Canada’s first national park) with activities such as a mountaintop walk, a dip in hot springs, and a canoe ride. Ideal for seasoned adventurers, Immerse delves deeper into the national park, allowing participants to push personal limits with technical rock climbing, ridge walks, and guided mountain climbs while staying in backcountry lodges.

Participants of both itineraries will leave Banff and Lake Louise with a renewed understanding and love for Canada’s singular culture, natural environment, and regional cuisine. As with all AdventureWeeks, attendees will connect with local suppliers from across Alberta in one-on-one meetings during the ATTA’s signature Marketplace networking event.

“We are excited to be working with the ATTA on AdventureWeek this October and to showcase Banff and Lake Louise as a premier year-round adventure destination,” said Woodrow Oldford, vice president of global marketing for Banff & Lake Louise Tourism.

Space for AdventureWeek Banff & Lake Louise is limited. Buyers, travel journalists, and influencers/bloggers from the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Mexico, Germany, China, and Canada (Toronto area) interested in experiencing this exciting year-round destination are encouraged to apply by 29 July 2019.
