Stowe, VERMONT — Boundless Journeys, an award-winning, adventure tour operator, has had record bookings for their Alpine hiking tours, Tour du Mont Blanc and The Haute Route. Although these have historically been popular tours at Boundless Journeys for over ten years, since December 2015, the volume of calls and reservations has surpassed the average, so much so that they have added a fifth departure date to their Tour du Mont Blanc trip.
In early December, the New York Times published an article on the Tour du Mont Blanc called “100 Miles, 10 Days, Three Countries and a Lot of Cheese” and called it “Europe’s most indulgent trek.” Michelle Cournoyer, the Destination Manager for Boundless Journey’s Tour du Mont Blanc and The Haute Route hiking tours, commented, “The title alone is enough to pique interest, but the article and photos really captured what makes the region and this trip in particular so amazing. And of course with the power of social media, word quickly spread, and in no time we were at capacity!”
The new tour date for the Tour du Mont Blanc is from August 28 to September 5 and is limited to 16 guests. The Haute Route Hiking dates with availability are July 24 to August 1 and September 11 to 19, both are limited to 10 guests.
