Jorge Rodriguez, who has been with Australis for 17 years, will continue in his position as Market Manager in the US and Mexico.

Mr. Castro has spent 29 years in the travel industry, including positions at LAN, Turismo Cocho, and as GSA with the Marriott International in Chile.

Pedro del Rio, CEO of Australis said:   “North America is a strategic market for Australis.  We believe there are many opportunities for growth here and we are pleased to have a new team in place to further our exposure.  Studies show that millennials prefer to do something on their vacations that they cannot do in their everyday existence.  This is a market that is ideal for us as well as seniors in good health who wish to travel and enjoy new experiences.”

The Australis Cruises are expedition cruises where passengers are urged to have a good time and at the same time, accumulate knowledge on a largely unexplored area in the southern-most lands in the world.  The company is also constructing a new ship, the Ventus Australis, which is currently taking bookings for the January 2. 2018 voyage.
