World Nomads and three Adventure Travel Trade Association members are partnering in a World Nomads global campaign that will recruit three adventurers from around the world to go on once-in-a-lifetime trips to three adventure destinations. The Extraordinary Experiences winners will visit adventure travel hotspots Ecuador, Sweden, and Canada and promote them by producing video, photography and blogs about their adventure activities and experiences.
While itineraries are still being finalized with each destination partner, there is no shortage of the breadth of adventure activities and quintessential local experiences from which each winner can anticipate sampling from. Tropic Journeys in Nature will take a winning adventurer on a seven-day tour spanning across the country’s “four worlds” – from the Galapagos to the rainforest to the Andes Mountains where they will dive into activities such as kayaking, hiking, snorkeling and surfing, and horseback riding. AdventureSweden is supporting their winning adventurer to go white water rafting, kayaking, bear watching, caving, fishing and even on a gastronomic bike tour. Canadian Tourism Commission & Labrador & Newfoundland Tourism team up to showcase their province with a varied mix of activities that may include sea kayaking, rafting, camping snorkeling with whales, and scuba diving shipwrecks. Grand Trunk will provide appropriate gear for whichever trip the winner chooses.
Extraordinary Experiences is part of World Nomads’ popular suite of global campaigns that give travelers once-in-a-lifetime opportunities and that market destinations and tourism operators through real-world adventure and cultural experiences. World Nomads and its partners will use their marketing channels to promote the campaign to a global audience and the final content produced from these trips will continue to garner worldwide exposure from ongoing promotions.
