Editor's Note: It's been just over eight years since Shannon Stowell took over the helm of the then flagging Adventure Travel Trade Association, then an empty vessel with literally no business activity, to a progressive organization flirting with 800 business/organization members representing more than 80 nations and recognitions in international media, among leaders of nations and the world's leading tourism organizations.
