explora Patagonia, explora Atacama and explora Rapa Nui ranked among Top Hotels in Chile

Santiago, CHILE – “Fabulous hotel in Fabulous surroundings.” “Amazing place! Highly recommend!!” “Jaw-dropping views and unbeatable location!” Traveler critiques like that helped all three explora lodges to be nominated among Chile’s Top Hotels and receive 2014 Travelers’ Choice Awards from TripAdvisor.

TripAdvisors’ annual Travelers’ Choice popularity contest counts “Millions of Reviews” from real travelers, highlighting “Nothing but the Best.”

explora is not so much a hotel group as a travel experience.  Founded in 1989, explora’s aim is to encourage a new attitude towards travel for those with a passion for discovering new places and new people in remote and relatively unexplored regions of South America.

For two decades, the company has revolutionized and enhanced the travel experience within the continent: First with explora Patagonia in Torres del Paine National Park, then with explora Atacama at an oasis in the heart of the Atacama desert, and finally with explora Rapa Nui on Easter Island. Meanwhile, explora Travesias inspired by the ancient ideal of the “nomadic journey” and the freedom of discovery it affords, offer awe-inspiring expeditions as an indispensable complement to a journey to South America.

explora encourages all travelers who voted with to please drop explora an email with their address in order to receive a small thank you gift in the coming months. Emails should go directly to Paula Rodríguez, Marketing Manager, at [email protected].  Thank you!

  1. Probably not the perfect stay for the budget traveller, but a nice concept nonetheless! I think people tend to look for exceptional experiences and the seem to deliver sort of a “all-round carefree package” in exceptional places and surroundings…
