The Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA) is bringing AdventureELEVATE Latin America to Lima, Perú this 16–18 June 2026. Set against the backdrop of Lima's world-renowned gastronomy, vibrant culture, and breathtaking landscapes, this year's theme, Alquimia, captures the transformative alchemy that happens when nature, culture, and human creativity converge. The event will explore how collaboration, creativity, and new ideas can help adventure travel businesses grow while continuing to deliver meaningful experiences to travelers.
Day of Adventure: Experience the Destination First
The event kicks off on Tuesday, 16 June with a full Day of Adventure, a beloved AdventureELEVATE tradition that puts delegates in the field before the conference rooms fill. Starting from the Sheraton Lima Hotel, attendees choose from a curated selection of active, cultural, and nature-based experiences designed in partnership with local operators eager to showcase their home destination. Spots are limited and fill on a first come, first served basis. That evening, delegates gather for the Opening Ceremony to set the tone for two days of learning, connecting, and doing business.
Wednesday, 17 June: Gastronomy, Marketplace, and Big Ideas
Wednesday opens with words of welcome from ATTA President Gustavo Timo and VP Nicolás Caram, with Mayra Callo, CEO and Co-Founder of Quechua Treks Peru, serving as emcee.
The Opening Keynote, "From Earth to Table: When Identity Creates Value," brings together leading chefs to explore how gastronomy can be a powerful force for conservation, cultural preservation, and community resilience. Drawing on their work across Latin America, panelists will discuss how culinary experiences rooted in native ingredients and traditional knowledge can support biodiversity, empower communities, and deepen the meaning of travel.
The Local Marketplace follows, held in two rounds throughout the day, connecting a global delegation of outbound operators, wholesalers, travel advisors, and media with Peruvian inbound suppliers in a focused, pre-scheduled format. A Tourism Board Meeting runs concurrently for regional association representatives. After lunch, an ATTA Ambassadors' Meeting gives attending Ambassadors a private peer-to-peer forum, before the evening opens up with a free night in Lima.
Thursday, 18 June: Regional Strategy and a Vision for the Future
Thursday morning's plenary, "Regional Perspectives: The State of Adventure Travel in Peru," examines how destinations, operators, and associations can work across borders to strengthen Latin America's adventure offering. Topics include multi-country itineraries, joint promotion, and regional storytelling. Panelist Kurt Holle, Country Representative for the World Wildlife Fund Peru, is among those helping shape the conversation.
A Regional Marketplace and the Latin America Tourism Associations Annual Gathering (by invitation) round out the midday before the conference closes with the "Alquimia in Action: The Future of Tourism in Latin America" keynote. Speakers Julian Guerrero, Meaningful Travel Strategist, and André Kiwits, CEO of Ventura Travel, will explore how Latin America can sustain its momentum as one of the world's most compelling adventure destinations through stronger destination brands, deeper community connections, and closer public-private collaboration.
