The Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA) is proud to join the global travel community at ITB Berlin 2026, taking place March 3–5, 2026, where sustainable, nature-based and responsible travel is shaping the future of tourism. The event brings together industry leaders, innovators, and destinations to showcase trends, products, and solutions that meet the demand for adventurous and ethically responsible experiences.

Now in its 60th anniversary year, ITB Berlin continues to be the world’s leading B2B travel trade show, attracting tens of thousands of tourism professionals from around the world and offering critical insights into global travel trends. Adventure travel and responsible tourism remain among the fastest-growing segments in the broader tourism sector, driven by increasing interest in outdoor, active, and community-centric travel experiences.

At the heart of the show, the Adventure Travel & Responsible Tourism segment in Hall 4.1 features more than 50 exhibitors from 27 countries, presenting innovative and sustainable travel products ranging from trekking and wildlife tours to certified eco-tourism offerings. Peru serves as this year’s first Adventure Travel Partner, showcasing its rich natural landscapes and authentic cultural experiences. Peru will also be hosting ATTA’s AdventureELEVATE Latin America 2026 event in June, which is now open for registration.

ATTA’s Presence and Leadership

ATTA is once again represented among the key exhibitors in the Adventure Travel & Responsible Tourism segment, underscoring the association’s ongoing leadership in shaping global adventure travel standards, partnerships and responsible travel frameworks. ATTA members and ambassadors will engage with international buyers, media, and industry stakeholders to promote sustainable travel growth and support community-based tourism development worldwide.

“The evolution of adventure travel toward deeper sustainability and community impact is one of the defining stories of today’s tourism landscape,” said Gustavo Timo, President of ATTA. “Our participation at ITB Berlin 2026 is a powerful platform to connect with global partners, share best practices, and amplify responsible travel solutions that benefit both travelers and host communities.”

ATTA and partner Cabo Verde will also host an AdventureCONNECT panel discussion at ITB Berlin titled From Demand to Impact: The New Adventure Travel Market. The session will explore how the growing “Open to Adventure” segment—now representing 67% of global international travelers—is reshaping market size, sustainability priorities, and destination strategy. Featuring perspectives from destination marketing organizations and private-sector operators, the discussion will examine how demand is translating into measurable impact and responsible tourism growth worldwide.
