Denver, CO – December 2005 – Adventure Central, which helps power the adventure and experiential travel industries with its comprehensive e-commerce infrastructure for tour operators, today announced that Steve Murch and Mickey Lutz have been appointed to its board of directors. Both Murch and Lutz are highly successful veterans of the travel industry, and their addition to its board is a significant coup for Adventure Central.

In the ‘90s, Murch developed a variety of products for Microsoft, including Microsoft Access, Microsoft FoxPro, and Cinemania. He also launched the MSN Gaming Zone. In 1997, Murch founded VacationSpot.com, which was later sold to Expedia. Murch also spearheaded Expedia’s vacation packages business and recently founded Lakefront Software.

Lutz was most recently the chief information officer for Cendant Travel Distribution Services, where he was responsible for the technology products division of the shared services organization that supports Cendant Travel Distribution Services businesses. Prior to this role, Lutz was chief information officer and senior vice president, information technology of PHH Arval, a Cendant company. During his years at Cendant, Lutz led efforts in unlocking 30 years of GDS technology to bring Galileo Web Services to the travel industry.

“Having Steve and Mickey on our board of directors is an enormous win for Adventure Central,” says Robert Hirsch, president of Adventure Central. “They are two of the brightest minds in the travel industry, and will help us continue to grow and be successful. We’re truly honored to have both Steve and Mickey as a part of our growing team.”
