For the first time, two employees of Adventure Life have been selected for Travel + Leisure Magazine’s prestigious A-List of the world’s best travel agents and destination specialists. The magazine’s editors selected company founder and CEO Brian Morgan for the Galápagos and Ecuador, and Mary Curry for Adventure Cruises. Morgan has been selected for the A-List every year since 2011; this is Curry’s first selection. They are among only 139 agents and tour operators worldwide to be selected for the 16th annual list, which was announced Friday, Aug. 11, 2017.
“It’s an honor to again be named to Travel + Leisure’s A-List and to share it with Mary this year,” Morgan said. “As a small business, we take pride in providing a travel benefit that allows our employees to gain personal experience in destinations around the world. That, in turn, allows them to provide the best possible advice when tailoring adventures for our clients.”
Of Morgan, Travel + Leisure editors wrote, “Call upon Morgan to set up your Galápagos trip – whether an island-hopping cruise or a science-focused expedition – as well as other Darwin-themed holidays on Ecuador’s mainland, including kayaking and hiking excursions and culinary adventures organized around fishing and coffee-plantation visits.”
The editors noted trips are best for culture buffs, adventurers and families, and Morgan also has expertise in Peru, and Central and South America travel.
“Unlike most travel advisors, Morgan is happy to field requests for backpack-style value trips as well as ultra-luxury adventures,” the editors wrote.
While this is Curry’s first selection to the A-List, the editors noted her years of experience.
“In the business for more than 15 years, Curry specializes in distinctive small-ship excursions … to adventure-focused destinations like Antarctica, the Arctic, the Galápagos Islands, and Hawaii,” they wrote.
Trips are best for families and couples/honeymooners, and because Curry’s job includes negotiating contracts with cruise companies, “you can count on her to secure the best-possible prices.” She also has expertise in South America travel.
