North America's specialists in small group journeys and tailor-made vacations to Asia, Travel Indochina, is celebrating a significant milestone with the opening of a new joint venture office in Laos and expansion of its Vietnamese operations, bringing its presence to more than 95 operations and customer service staff, in seven offices across the region.

Managing Director and Travel Indochina co-founder, Paul Hole, says the expansion demonstrates the company’s strength and ongoing commitment as an Asia specialist.

“In order to meet growing demand, we’ve expanded our offices in Saigon and opened a new space in Danang in Central Vietnam, as well as opening new ‘street front’ presences in both Luang Prabang and Vientiane in Laos,” said Hole.

“In particular the signing of a joint venture agreement with our local Laotian partners is very exciting, and marks a significant milestone in our twenty year history.

“This joint venture allows us to really take advantage of new emerging opportunities in the region and cement our position as a truly local tour operator.

“This investment clearly demonstrates our deepening commitment to our Asian operations and strengthens our status as North America’s Asia specialists. Most importantly it also allows us to continue to deliver on our promise to share high quality, authentic experiences with our travelers.” added Mark Yacker, Director for North America.

The company’s ever increasing ‘on the ground’ presence provides great benefits; not only are the local offices essential to sourcing great prices, innovative touring experiences and providing assurances of quality and consistency through regular inspections of selected hotels, attractions and tour inclusions, they also offer Travel Indochina’s passengers complete peace of mind, with local staff readily at hand 24 hours a day.

“We’ve come a long way from our humble beginnings 20 years ago,” said to Hole, “and we’ve built a company that I am extremely proud of. Experience matters and we have a very experienced, professional team.”

“When we first started out, I would not have dared predict we would be where we are today, with seven offices across Asia, as well as our Australian, UK and US teams. Importantly, our local offices help us maintain an unrivalled in-depth local knowledge and authenticity of experience true to our founding philosophy, despite our growth.

“Sharing our experience and passion for the region is still an integral part of our handcrafted Small Group Journeys and tailor-made vacations. The benefit of our size is that it permits us to offer something for everyone across our extensive range of itinerary options. This choice is supported by our local offices, our ability to negotiate better prices, provide a higher standard of quality and safety, and our capacity to constantly search out new and interesting tour inclusions.”
