The Kusini Collection Congratulates Its Portfolio Safari Award Finalists

Seattle, WA - The Kusini Collection congratulates its portfolio members who have earned the distinction of being named “Finalists” in the 2015 Safari Awards. Winners in each country and overall in Africa will be announced in November 2014. Kusini Collection portfolio members in Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe have been named as Finalists. The Kusini Collection is a boutique travel marketing and sales firm representing ground-handlers, camps and lodges in Africa and Latin America to the North American travel trade.

Ultimate Safaris Namibia, a Namibian owned and operated DMC, has been named a Finalist in the categories of “Best Guiding Team” and “Best Mobile Safari Operator” in both Namibia and Africa. Ultimate Safaris was nominated in both categories in 2014.

Zambia’s oldest safari company, Norman Carr Safaris has once again been nominated as the “Best Walking Safari Operator” and the “Best Guiding Team,” after being awarded the Best in Africa in both categories in the 2014 awards. Norman Carr’s Kapani Lodge has been named a Finalist in the categories of “Best Value Safari Property” and “Best Family Safari Property.” Additionally, their new luxury camp Chinzombo was nominated for “Best Safari Cuisine,” “Best New Safari Property,” “Best Safari Guiding Team,” and “Best Romantic Room or Tent.”

Chongwe Safaris in Zambia’s Lower Zambezi has been named a Finalist in the categories of “Best Community Focused Property” and “Best Romantic Room or Tent.” The one-of-a-kind Chongwe River House has been nominated for “Best Family Safari Property” and “Best Safari House.” Chongwe River House is a two-time winner as “Best Safari House in Africa.”

In Zimbabwe, Imvelo Safari Lodges have been named a Finalist in the category of “Best Rural Charity” while Imvelo’s managing director and Zimbabwean professional guide, Mark Butcher, has been nominated as a Finalist in the category “Best Personal Contribution to Wildlife.” Imvelo’s Bomani Tented Lodge in Hwange National Park has been nominated as “Best Value Safari Property,” “Best Family Safari Property,” “Best Walking Safari Property,” “Best Ecologically Responsible Company,” and “Best Romantic Room or Tent.” Imvelo’s flagship Camelthorn Lodge has been nominated as the “Best Safari Guiding Team.” Both properties have been named Finalists as “Best Community Focused Lodge.”
