G Adventures Announces New Regional Sales Managers For Its U.S. Operation

Providence, RI - G Adventures, the world’s adventure travel leader, announces the appointments of Sonia Mura of Chicago, IL, and Michael Roberts of San Francisco, CA, to the positions of Regional Sales Manager.

Mura joins the company with eight years experience in travel most recently as Product Development Manager for Tourico Holidays. She also worked as a Business Development Manager and Marketing Manager for Southwest Airlines Vacations.

Based in Chicago but originally from Milwaukee, WI, Mura will work with travel agents in the Midwest to grow G Adventures’ presence in the U.S. market. Her territory includes Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, South and North Dakota, Indiana, Ohio, Iowa, Kentucky, Missouri and Wisconsin.

Roberts will be based in San Francisco but originally hails from New York, NY, where he worked for Intrepid and TrekAmerica as a tour guide and later sales manager based in the United Kingdom. In his new role with G Adventures, he will work to develop agent relationships throughout the Northwest including Northern California, Oregon, Washington, Alaska, Idaho, Montana and Northern Nevada.

G Adventures continues to grow in the U.S. market while it maintains its leadership position globally in the adventure travel industry.

Founded in 1990, G Adventures offers small group tours, safaris, and expeditions to more than 100 countries. The company owns the 132-passenger polar ship MS-Expedition and the 24-room G Hotel in Quito, Ecuador.

In addition to its Toronto headquarters and Providence, RI office, G Adventures has offices in London, England and Melbourne, Australia. The company also owns and manages 18 ground operations offices worldwide.
